Akari, often called Light Up, is a Japanese logic puzzle on a grid of white cells and black walls. You place lamps so every open square is illuminated, lamps never shine on one another, and a numbered wall has exactly that many lamps touching it. How to play

  1. Study the 10x10 grid: black squares are walls; some walls show a 0, 1, or 2, and some walls are unnumbered.
  2. Place a lamp on a white cell so it lights its entire row and column until a wall stops the beam.
  3. Light every white cell, but do not let two lamps see each other along a row or column.
  4. A numbered wall must have exactly that many lamps in the four orthogonally adjacent white cells; a 0 wall has none.
  5. Unnumbered black walls still block light; they just do not constrain how many lamps touch them.

Print at 100% scale on letter or A4 so the 10x10 wall numbers stay readable.
