From our own niche index of observed Amazon search phrases, grouped into niches. It is not a live scrape of Amazon — it is a maintained index we rebuild and re-check, which is why a lookup answers instantly and why there is a daily cap.

Because Amazon publishes none, and a bare number here would be a guess dressed as a fact. What we show instead are things we counted ourselves: how many distinct phrasings cluster into this niche, where the classifier puts it, and which phrases carry a quality flag. Estimated demand with its evidence sits in the paid suite.

It means exactly that. Breadth is how many distinct suggestions Amazon's own autocomplete returns around a phrase, and measuring it takes a live probe — which the suite runs on a schedule and this free page does not. We would rather say “not measured” than show you a band derived from a different, older signal and let you read it as demand.

The page, the form, this FAQ and the methodology are public. The lookup itself needs a free account because the index is the thing we maintain and sell access to, and an anonymous endpoint over it could be walked phrase by phrase into a copy. Signing in takes about 30 seconds and brings you straight back here.

Three a day on a free account and ten on Creator. The counter sits under every result, so you always know where you stand before the cap bites. Research-suite subscribers should use the explorer instead — it searches and filters the whole index rather than one phrase at a time.

Signals worth checking before you spend a week on a book: a phrase that reads like a brand, a format we cannot fulfil, and so on. Each one says what was detected and what to verify — they are prompts for your own check, never a legal judgement, and “nothing detected” is a statement about our checks rather than a clearance.
