One number covers every AI feature on SmartKDP. Your plan refills it every month, packs and top-ups add to it, and every AI button tells you what it costs before you click.

You see the price before you run it
Every AI button shows its credit price up front, and where Max quality is offered you choose it or Standard yourself. Nothing spends without a number next to it.
Charged only for what's delivered
A run that fails or that you cancel isn't charged. A three-concept art run charges only the concepts that pass our quality check — so retry freely.
Your monthly allowance resets; purchased credits don't
Your plan's credits refill at the start of each month and don't roll over. Credits you buy are different: they never expire, and they're only used once your monthly allowance runs out. Signed in on Free? You get 20 credits a month to try the AI features.

Questions about billing
What is an AI credit?
The one currency every AI feature spends. A standard action — a set of title ideas, a keyword set, a palette suggestion — is 3 credits; a short helper like a word list is 1; a long piece like a full book description is 10. You see the price on every button before you click, you can pick Standard or Max quality where Max is offered, and you're never charged when a call fails. Need more than your plan includes? Add a monthly credit pack.
Do unused AI credits roll over?
No — your plan's credits reset at the start of each month, so use them or lose them. If you regularly run out before the month does, a credit pack is an add-on subscription that stacks on top of your plan and renews with it; if you rarely use them, a lower plan may fit better. Either way, you're only ever charged for AI runs that actually deliver.
What counts as a puzzle generation?
One generated puzzle page. Generating a 50-puzzle set uses 50. Editing, re-laying out, or re-exporting a puzzle you already generated costs nothing — exports never touch your generation count.
What happens when I reach my monthly limit?
Nothing you've already made is locked. You keep editing and exporting everything in your projects; only new generation pauses until the limit resets at the start of the next calendar month (UTC). Free-plan exports keep working too — they're watermarked rather than blocked.
How does upgrading work mid-month?
Upgrades take effect immediately, and we show you the exact prorated amount before you confirm — you're credited for the unused time on your current plan. Your higher limit is available as soon as the payment clears.
And downgrading?
Downgrades are scheduled for the end of your current billing period, so you keep what you've already paid for. Nothing is charged when you schedule it, and you can switch back before it takes effect.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, from your billing page — no email required. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and your projects stay in your account.
Is there a refund policy?
There's a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first payment. If SmartKDP isn't right for you, ask within 7 days and we'll refund it.
Who am I actually paying?
SmartKDP, Inc. — we're the seller on every order, so your statement shows SmartKDP. Payments are processed by Stripe, and the price you see already includes any sales tax or VAT for your country, calculated via Stripe Tax. You can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal, and your Stripe-hosted receipt is linked from your billing page.
Do annual plans really give two months free?
Yes — an annual plan costs the same as ten monthly payments, so you pay for ten months and get twelve.
